Bonfils now recruiting blood donors for 2011 Blood Drive

Every 2-seconds someone in the U.S. needs a transfusion of donated blood. Bonfils Blood center, which provides blood and blood products to nearly 200 hospitals and healthcare facilities in Colorado, needs thousands of blood donors each week to meet the needs of our community and to be prepared to support any unforeseen events. The need for blood is constant; red blood cells are useable for only 42 days. Healthy people are the only source of blood; it cannot bemade genetically.

To meet this need in the Community, The Grange would like to host a Blood Drive in 2011. In order for Bonfils to come out to The Grange, we need to have a minimum number of people who would be interested in donating blood.

Please continue reading if you would be interested in donating blood.
